3 bed semi presents is a winter series of intimate acoustic gigs with some of the best musicians and singers playing to the tiniest audience in the world. 3 bed semi opened its doors in December 2011 and since then all gigs have sold out.
The venue can only hold 30 people max in a candle-lit setting based in a 3 bed semi-detached house in suburban Ennis, County Clare…..sure what more could you want!
Audience members are encouraged to bring some nibbles along to the gig as there is a little interval of gorgeous vegetarian finger food, beetroot brownies and occasionally profiteroles. Lady of the house, Lorraine initiated the non-profit venture for the winter as a way of encouraging people to experience live music and as she says herself -
“the artist on the night gets the entire door takings, all I want are the memories of the songs and tunes stuck to the ceiling of my living room!”
Its a cosy magical little venue with the emphasis on listening and experiencing live music, particularly in the winter months as its a time when people go out less but its a time when we probably need to listen to live music the most.
